The Italian Mood in Five, resident band on
the Italian liner has received a special award as the result of a band
competition conducted by 2CH's Arrivederci Roma program. Program compere, Mrs Lena, said a different Italian band was featured each Monday night over a six-month period. A total of 26 bands competed, and more than 1000 listeners responded with votes. The award, an alabaster baton and individual certificates to each member of the band, was presented by 2CH manager P. Geeves during a buffet luncheon aboard liner. |

The band was also videotaped for a
nationwide television show over TEN and recorded several selections for
2KY. The television program is TEN's new musical variety show, And All That, and the sequence will be screened in early March in both Sydney and Melbourne.
